Cambridge, MA, October 20, 2026 – Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure (“KSI”) has commenced operation of three new community solar projects totaling 15.8 megawatts (MWdc).  The portfolio includes two projects in New York and one project in Oregon, with individual project sizes ranging from 4.1 MWdc to 7.0 MWdc.

The three projects were each developed by different independent developers. Through a variety of collaborative arrangements, KSI contributed expertise and capital, taking full control at or near the start of construction. KSI then financed the build-out and now operates the projects.

These new projects come online at a time when electricity demand and electricity prices continue to increase nationwide. Co-Founder, John Chaimanis said, “All three new projects came on-line quickly and provide critically needed power to the burgeoning demand on the electric grid. The solar power provides energy savings to the off-takers, has funded well-paying jobs, and will contribute meaningfully to the tax base of the local communities they serve.”

“KSI values long-standing partnerships with experienced developers, EPC contractors, O&M providers and other solar professionals. These repeat partnerships help foster strong communication, consistent execution, and a shared understanding of project expectations, supporting a smoother path from construction through commercial operation,” said Ken Lehman, Co-Founder.

KSI has now completed construction on 83 solar projects totaling 145 MWdc with an additional 71 MWdc under active construction across 8 states (NY, NJ, CA, VT, NH, RI, OR, IL).
